Pookaran

Terms of sale

The terms you are agreeing to

Written to be read. Where a term exists because of how flower delivery actually works, it says so rather than hiding behind a clause number.

Last reviewed

These terms cover the commercial substance of how Pookaran operates and are written to match what the service actually does. They have not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in each trading country. Have them checked before selling — particularly the liability, tax and consumer-rights sections, which vary across the ten markets.

Who you are contracting with

Pookaran (“Pookaran”, “we”) operates this site and accepts your order. We arrange each order with an independent florist near the delivery address — your contract is with us, so if a delivery goes wrong you come to us and we deal with the florist, not the other way round.

When does the contract form?

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we send your order confirmation, not when you click the button.

Occasionally we have to decline after you have ordered — no florist near the address can take the order on that date, the address is outside our delivery area, or a named flower is genuinely unobtainable. If that happens we tell you and refund in full before anything is charged or delivered.

Prices, currency and tax

Prices are shown in the currency of the country the flowers are being delivered to, and that is the currency your payment link is in. Your bank may apply its own conversion and fees on top; those are between you and your bank.

The price and delivery fee shown at checkout are what you pay. If a basket is bound for more than one country it becomes a separate order per country, each with its own total and its own payment.

Where sales tax or VAT applies it is included in the displayed price and shown on your confirmation.

What we commit to on delivery

We commit to the delivery date you select, not to a time of day. Dates are only offered on our delivery days for that country, and delivery today is only offered as Priority same-day before the local cut-off. Full detail is in the delivery policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the delivery address. Where an address is wrong or incomplete we will always attempt a second delivery before treating the order as failed.

Substitution

Arrangements are made by hand from stock bought locally on the day, so the exact stems vary. Florists may substitute only within the rules set out in the substitutions policy, which forms part of these terms: equal or greater value, same colour palette, never the named flower, same style and scale.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel free of charge until the florist begins work — in practice 24 hours before the delivery date, or before the same-day cut-off. After that the stems have been bought and cut for your order specifically.

Cut flowers are perishable goods and are therefore outside the statutory 14-day cooling-off period that applies to most online purchases. Our freshness guarantee in the refunds policy is what protects you instead, and it is broader in the cases that actually arise.

Your message card

The florist writes out your message by hand, exactly as you type it, in any language or alphabet. We will not deliver a message that is unlawful, threatening or abusive, and a florist may decline to write one they reasonably consider so. In that case we contact you rather than silently omitting it.

Liability

If we get an order wrong, our responsibility is to put it right: remake and redeliver, or refund. Beyond that our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order.

We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which nothing here reduces.

Changes to these terms

The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it. We do not apply later changes retrospectively. The review date at the top of this page tells you which version you are reading.

Something here unclear or unfair? Tell us — these pages get rewritten when they cause confusion.
